Project terms

Clear expectations
before the work starts.

These are the standard project arrangements. Your written proposal confirms the deliverables and terms for your particular project.

Scope and pricing

Website prices are in USD and count visitor-facing pages. Standard legal and attribution pages are included without using a paid page slot; sections and interactive elements within a page don’t add to the count. The calculator covers 1–10 pages; 11 or more are custom quoted. One scheduled website consultation may include free visual directions for discussion; the proposal confirms the paid deliverables, source material, timing, exclusions, and any third-party costs. Sending an inquiry does not place an order or commit either party to a project. The minimum standalone project is $100; hosting is exempt.

Payments

Projects under $500 are paid upfront. Projects of $500 or more use a 50% starting payment and a 50% final payment. For one-time website builds, the completed site is shared for review and two consolidated revision rounds are included before the remaining 50% is due. After you approve it, the balance is due before public launch or final source-file handoff. Other deliverables follow the handoff schedule in your proposal. Optional hosting is billed monthly in advance after launch. No payment is collected through this website.

Website subscriptions

Website + hosting subscriptions include a standard website build with $0 upfront build fee, Managed Hosting & Care and up to 30 minutes of minor updates monthly in one consolidated request, without rollover. One page is $119/month, up to three pages $139/month, and up to five pages $169/month. Each page from six through ten adds $15/month; eleven or more pages require a custom quote. Subscription charges are billed monthly in advance after launch. The minimum term is 12 paid months; the subscription then continues month-to-month at the same rate until cancelled.

After all 12 monthly payments, cancellation includes standard code and file handoff, subject to third-party licenses. Hosting and care end; domain access and DNS changes are coordinated for your new hosting. If cancelled early, hosting ends and Cast & Close’s website code and design are not handed over. Any early-exit charge or other cancellation obligation must be stated and agreed in writing before signup. Your own supplied content and domain remain yours throughout.

Revisions and additional work

Websites, logo kits, and starter identity packages include two consolidated revision rounds. Other standard materials, copy, clips, and tools include one. New briefs, new source content, and new features change the scope. Additional work is $75 per hour in 30-minute increments, approved before it starts.

Review and corrections

You review and approve the accuracy of your business information, source permissions, and any rules or formulas. For 30 days after delivery, reproducible departures from the agreed scope are corrected. New requests, third-party failures, and rules changed after delivery are handled separately.

Files, licenses, and handoff

For one-time projects, standard source or export handoff follows final payment, subject to platform capabilities and third-party licenses. Website subscription handoff follows the subscription terms above. Domains should be held in your name. Paid fonts, media, platforms, and other third-party assets may have separate license or subscription terms. The proposal identifies the files you will receive and any portability limits.

Cancellation and ongoing services

Project cancellation and any refund arrangements are agreed in the written proposal before payment. Optional hosting can be cancelled before the next billing period under the service agreement. Moving an existing site to a new platform or making major structural changes is separately scoped.

Results and service boundaries

Design and content work can make your offer easier to understand. It does not guarantee sales, traffic, rankings, or audience growth. The simple-tool service does not include sensitive records, customer portals, live operational databases, or mission-critical systems.

Referrals

The referral program has its own eligibility and payment terms. A referral does not change the client’s agreed project price or scope.

Questions before starting

Ask about anything that is unclear through the contact page. Scope and responsibilities should be understood before work begins.
